Eksote arranges and produces equal and easily attainable social and health services for all residents in South Karelia. 

Eksote is a joint municipal authority of the South Karelia region, covering nine municipalities: Imatra, Lappeenranta, Lemi, Luumäki, Parikkala, Rautjärvi, Ruokolahti, Savitaipale, and Taipalsaari.
